CUSMEX — Canada–United States–Mexico Trade Council — is a trilateral institutional organization dedicated to strengthening trade, investment, economic cooperation, business connectivity, and regional integration across Canada, the United States, and Mexico, while advancing foreign trade between North America and its principal economic and commercial partners around the world.

CUSMEX connects businesses, entrepreneurs, chambers of commerce, industry and business associations, government entities, economic development organizations, academic institutions, and strategic partners to transform cross-border and international cooperation into practical opportunities for trade, investment, market expansion, supply-chain development, innovation, and economic growth.

CUSMEX does not operate under a traditional membership-based model. Instead, it functions as an institutional platform designed to provide broad access to programs, initiatives, strategic connections, and economic opportunities.

Businesses, entrepreneurs, professionals, and residents across North America may participate in and benefit from CUSMEX programs and initiatives, subject to the scope and requirements of each program. At the institutional level, CUSMEX works directly with chambers of commerce, governments, economic development organizations, business and industry associations, academic institutions, and other organizations that contribute to the economic development and international competitiveness of North America.

Through its growing portfolio of programs and strategic initiatives, CUSMEX works to strengthen the competitiveness, connectivity, resilience, and global positioning of the North American economic ecosystem.

Our programs and initiatives include:

• North American Trade Parliament (NATP) — a permanent trilateral institutional platform created by CUSMEX to facilitate structured cooperation among chambers of commerce, business and industry organizations, governments, economic development organizations, academia, and other institutional stakeholders across Canada, the United States, and Mexico.

At its Inaugural Ceremony in Oakland, California, the institutions represented through the NATP reflected an economic footprint of more than US$5.68 trillion, encompassing over 51.7 million jobs and more than 14.3 million businesses and economic units across the represented jurisdictions, industries, and business communities. The NATP is designed to convert institutional dialogue into sustained cooperation, commercial relationships, investment, regional development, and tangible economic opportunities across North America.

• CUSMEX–Alibaba.com Global Export Initiative — connecting manufacturers, producers, distributors, exporters, SMEs, handicraft and artisan producers from Canada, the United States, and Mexico with international B2B opportunities, buyers, and global markets.

• North American Reshoring Program — supporting companies engaged in reshoring, nearshoring, expansion, or restructuring of North American operations by connecting them with qualified suppliers, manufacturers, governments, economic development organizations, chambers, and strategic partners.

• Made in North America — promoting North American products, manufacturers, producers, suppliers, and regional value chains while increasing their visibility and commercial opportunities within North America and in international markets.

• Invest in North America — connecting investors, companies, governments, economic development organizations, and strategic projects to facilitate investment opportunities throughout Canada, the United States, and Mexico.

• Expand in North America — supporting businesses seeking to enter new markets, establish operations, commercialize products and services, or expand their presence across North America.

• Workforce for North America — strengthening connections among businesses, workforce resources, institutions, training organizations, and talent to support North American economic and industrial development.

• Mercadito CUSMEX — providing a platform to promote products, entrepreneurs, SMEs, producers, and businesses and connect them with new commercial opportunities and markets.

• University of CUSMEX — advancing education, professional development, institutional collaboration, knowledge exchange, and initiatives connecting academia, industry, entrepreneurship, and the North American business ecosystem.

CUSMEX is also advancing new initiatives focused on manufacturing automation, real estate development and promotion, digital and foreign trade, supplier development, internationalization, cross-border business opportunities, and the modernization of North American production and commercial networks.

CUSMEX’s work extends beyond the borders of Canada, the United States, and Mexico. The organization seeks to strengthen North America as an integrated, resilient, and globally competitive economic region while building stronger commercial and institutional bridges with strategic markets, investors, buyers, suppliers, and partners around the world.

From local and regional business communities to state, provincial, and national institutions, CUSMEX operates across multiple levels of the economy to create connections capable of generating measurable and tangible opportunities.

Our objective is to transform trilateral and international cooperation into stronger commercial relationships, competitive supply chains, investment, exports, innovation, and sustainable economic opportunities across North America and its principal markets around the world.
